Once

Once

Upon a time

There was a line

(A point moving in space,

That is.)

It decided to travel

Quite near to my pencil,

As I beared down

Carefully,

On the page.

It turned and curved and

Began and stopped,

(Never ending all-together,

That is.)

Then I decided it was

Finished, as I lifted

the pencil

Gently

Into the air.

(Time for another line to begin,

That is.)

It's easy to be

It's easy to be
lonely

at least lonely
keeps me
humble.

It's far more difficult
to be alone
and not know,

then it is to be
lonely and still know
you're not alone,

ever.

That breaks my heart--
but it must break
Your's more.

I'll sit in my
corner now and
repent, since

I'm never alone,
just delinquent.

Amen.

Fantasms

Fantastic
all of you!
Really, you're something else.

Devine
Otherwordly!
I am in awe of your talent.

In a word,
superbly done.
Very well written; sublime.

And all those other spirits lost inside our minds.

I take a journey to
the center of my motives
and find another person there
in my stead, controlling.

I confront him at his
mahogany desk and he turns
around his spinning chair to say,
"This is not your place to haunt."

"Now make like a ghost, and disappear."

(A whisper told me to let go, let go.
So I did. Goodbye lovely, goodbye.)

Another Psalm (there You are. Hello!)

As the light
Seeps in behind the blinds,
And dawn in dew on grass
Unwinds, and all is still
Except for time, Who marches on

And leaves his mark on the windowsill.
(There You are. Hello!)

As darkness falls,
And shadows stretch
And sunlight fades, in
Endless depths You radiate
with the songs of stars,

And are heard far beyond my windowsill.
(There You are. Hello!)
